In My Mailbox (23)

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren.

These are the books I got this week:

1. Wood Angel by Erin Bow
2. Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

3. The Shakespeare Curse by J. L. Carrell
4. Trial By Fire by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

I'm so excited for Trial by Fire. I read Raised By Wolves this month and loved it so can't wait to read its sequel. I've also had my eye on Wood Angel for a while now after reading great reviews so I finally picked it up in a 3 for 2 offer. I got The Shakespeare Curse after spotting it in a charity shop since I quite enjoyed J. L. Carrell's first book The Shakespeare Secret. I also picked up another small leather bound book from the charity shop, Twenty Years After by Alexandre Dumas, which is the sequel to The Three Musketeers which I loved :)

Awesome IMM! I didn't know The Three Musketeers had a sequel. I read a Starcrossed a while ago but it seemed to drag along. I plan to read it again though.

Yeah, there's two sequels to The Three Musketeers as far as I know. The first being 'Twenty Years Later' and the second 'The Man In The Iron Mask' :)

Ooh, I love the UK cover of Starcrossed. It's so pretty and the orange tint is awesome. Wood Angel also looks fabulous so I'll be looking forward to seeing your review for it. Happy reading! :)

I wasn't initially going to get Starcrossed but my eye was immediately drawn to it on the shelf and after reading over the synopsis it sounded like a good read so I couldn't resist :) I should be reading Wood Angel very soon and I definitely review it!

I love the cover of Wood Angel!

Me too! Although I do like the US version as well but it's titled under Plain Kate. I suppose I'll have to read it to find out if both titles are relevant :)

Well, I can only say wonderful things about Starcrossed. It's my favorite book this year. It's got everything you could want in YA if that's what you like! Your cover is definitely different.

I like the Shakespeare Curse or the idea of it. I only review MG or YA so I'd have to check it's rating. I haven't heard of Wood Angel. The cover is nice.

It's very cool that we both got Starcrossed this week. I haven't read Ms. Barnes first novel yet but I plan to soon. Hope you enjoy all your novels.
